Ornamental fencing goes high-tech!
Homeowners who covet the stately look of a wrought iron fence but not the maintenance worries have a new champion in polymer fencing.
From even a few feet away it's hard to tell polymer fence from its iron brethren. Both are sturdy and have the traditional good looks homeowners expect in this sort of fencing. It's just that the polymer versiondoesn't need much if any upkeep.
Plus, the polymer look-alike is self-installed with a minimum of tools and skills.
"(On the pic on the left, polymer fence is on the right, with finials, and plain version is at right)Unlike steel, the black or white colors are blended directly into the solid polymer. No painting is necessary. Even dings and scrapes have no visible impact and won't ever rust. Sun, wind and cold have no effect on the material, either, according to the makers.
Don't be deterred by the difference in weight between iron and polymer. Like many items made of this material, the light weight delivers super-strong performance.Consumers can install the fencing themselves, only basic tools are needed. The polymer is fabricated into 4-foot by 6-foot fence panels and 4-by-4 inch posts plus gates. Like wrought iron, the posts are sunk in concrete.

IRON MAN!!!
"In 1963 The Invincible Iron Man debuted in the comic bookTales of Suspense, the creation of Marvel Comics main maven Stan Lee. Eventually he recieved his own self-titled book that for more than 332 issues chronicled the adventures of playboy Tony Stark and his alter-ego, Iron Man. Recently, Iron Man was remade in the Heroes Reborn saga. He retained the identity of billionaire industrialist Tony Stark, exsisting in a parrallel universe, similar to, although darker than, the Marvel Universe. The alternate universe reflected the changes in style and tone that have seeped into the comics industry over the past decade. Even though the Heroes Reborn Iron Man's world was as different from his old world, as ours is from the world in which Stan Lee created Iron Man, the essence of the hero remained relatively unchanged. Currently, Iron Man has reappeared in the Marvel Universe with Heroes Return.....

TWIN TOWERS
Dear friends, it's a sad day for us all.
Friends are still lost in a cloud of dust and only God knows what will happen next. It's difficult to be back at work, but this is what we can do. It's a matter of reacting to the fear that our enemies want to place into our minds and I pray that we all will be able to cope with our anger.
We at Ironews.com started building this site around the idea of creating a Wrought Iron community and this is a moment when it's time to think about a public response. After all, this is what a community must do. We'll have to create something that will make people remember about these days. So, if you have any ideas, let us know. We'll talk about them and hopefully will be able to leave our sign. Someday, the sons of our children will watch a monument. We have to leave them something to express what we feel today.
Written on the evening of 9/11.
