STAINLESS STEEL
Innovative System for Stainless Steel Railings enters worldwide markets!
Ironews.com staff is proud to present "Systema Inox", thenew system for Stainless Steel Railings from Industria Italiana Arteferro (Ind.I.A.), who created this railing system as an innovative architectural focal point.
Stainless steel is an irresistible element in modern architecture as it is a perfect match for modern buildings; a technological product that is simple to manage and embraces a fashion which is spreading all over the world.
Construction and assembly of stainless steel balustrades has now been solved ingeniously with modular system elements and the whole system offers multiple options for installation in order to obtain several variations in railings design.
The “Systema Inox” components are made of Stainless Steel designated as AISI 304 by the American Iron and Steel Institute.
Stainless steels are metal alloys based on iron, chromium, carbon and other elements as mainly nickel, molybdenum, manganese, silicon etc., which makes them particularly resistant to certain types of corrosion. The presence of chromium creates an invisible surface film that resists oxidation and makes the material "passive" or corrosion resistant (i.e. "stainless").
AISI 304 is the greatest stainless success story. It accounts for more than 50% of all stainless steel produced worldwide. You already have the substantial experience of AISI 304 and its properties on which to draw. Chances are some of your cutlery (look for the telltale 18/8 or 18/10 designation), your saucepans, your sink or, even, the shutter on your floppy disk are in AISI 304.
Upon request, we can supply the same components made of AISI 316, which is especially designated for external use.
